Services for CACs + State Chapters

9 hours – This training is for Child Advocacy Center staff or team members responsible for coordinating the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), including case review meetings. It aims to enhance facilitation skills, improve team communication and relationships, and meet the National Children’s Alliance 2023 MDT Standard Essential Component A. Participants will assess team dynamics, learn interventions for team health and collaboration, and engage in virtual, interactive sessions with practice and peer feedback.

1 hour – This training equips participants with practical strategies to navigate and transform conflict within multidisciplinary teams into productive outcomes. It explores MDT leadership principles such as psychological safety and shared decision-making, alongside conflict transformation theory. Attendees will analyze conflict origins, utilize a strengths-based approach to conflict transformation, embrace discomfort, and engage in accountability conversations effectively. Learning objectives include applying shared decision-making for collaborative team processes, articulating accountability conversation strategies, and understanding conflict origins while applying transformation theory.

1 hour – This training takes a deep dive into the critical role of Victim Advocates on the MDT. Participants will develop strategies to keep the family's experiences, concerns, and needs central to team discussions. This involves strategies for raising awareness of family needs, strengths, and barriers to other MDT members and empowering families to engage fully and respectfully in the team's response.

90 minutes – This training is for CAC and community Victim Advocates who desire to hone their diverse and targeted skills to families walking difficult paths. Participants will explore the following five advocacy themes and strategies in developing their professional practice: Navigating crisis, Cultivating empathy, Empowering clients, Engaging community partnerships and, Nurturing professional boundaries
